The February sun is never seen by me.
I’m so tired. Days are short and darkness long.
I think in somber tones;
My artist’s energy is gone.
No poetry is in my soul today.
I only think of death,
and the drudgery of life.
It doesn’t please me any more.
But summer, so long away, will surely come.
If only I can hold out ‘til it does.
